SERVICES I PROVIDE…
Call me, email me, visit with me, or send me a note if you are interested now or ever in your child receiving services from me. Stay tuned for the CAT Tales for current small groups offered.
Individual Counseling: I meet with students individually to facilitate their growth and development through the exploration of feelings and concerns related to issues impacting their lives. Parents and teachers refer students for individual counseling throughout the school year.
Small Group Counseling: In small groups counseling, I work with two or more students together. Group members have the opportunity to learn from each other. They can share ideas, give and receive feedback, increase their awareness, gain new knowledge, practice skills and think about their goals and actions. Areas addressed in group counseling may include social skills development, family issues, anger management, or academic and behavioral concerns. Parents and teachers may refer students for small group counseling throughout the school year.
Classroom Guidance: Monthly or bimonthly (depending on the grade level), I come to each classroom and teach character education lessons. Some of the topics I will be addressing will be: bully-proofing, friendship and communication skills, conflict resolution, stress and anger management, appreciating our differences, assertiveness training, refusal skills, personal safety, drug prevention, study strategies, test anxiety, and career awareness and interest as well as other teacher requests.
